After an impressive summer showing with Urban DFW Elite on the AAU circuit, Kendal Harris, of Richardson (TX) is ready to start making some decisions.
Late last night, Harris informed Hoops Recruits that 5 schools were on top for his services; USC, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Creighton.
Harris, a 6'4 combo-guard who has earned an A grade [4*] and ranks as the No. 49 overall prospect in our 2013 HR 125, talked to HR about his thoughts on each school at this point in the process.
USC: "Well, first of all, you can't really go wrong with LA. I already know I'll enjoy the visit, and market-wise I feel like USC is where it's at."
LSU: "LSU coaching staff I have known since at UNT and they were recruiting me there. I had a good feel for them and now that they are at a better basketball program it helps out a lot."
Missouri: "Mizzou has been on me very hard for a minute. [Coach] Haith came to my school and all that and showed alot of love. Style of play is nice and once again they've been on me since day one!"
Oklahoma State: "They have been on me for the longest, you know because my brother, Terrel Harris who just won an NBA championship ring, lol, went there. So I know alot about the school and how coach Ford and coach P work and I just have a good feel about the school."
Creighton: "I've just known Steve Lutz for so long and he's a cool guy, so he's a big factor. Plus, they're a top 25 school in the country, can't go wrong with that."
Though there are still things to sort out before making his decision, Harris is ready to do that, saying he plans to decide as soon as possible, and sign with his school of choice in November. As for now, Harris will be at Adidas Nations in Long Beach for a few days and is planning to take an unofficial visit to USC today.
