The Running Rebels won out over a final four that included Florida, Kentucky and Oregon. Until last week, when the Gators and then the Wildcats were cut, which left Oregon and UNLV vying for Bennett's services.
Bennett, a 6'7 Canadian power forward, grades out an A+ on site [equivalent to a 5*] and ranks as the No. 7 overall prospect and the No. 2 ranked power forward in the 2012 top 100. He averaged 16.8 points and 10 rebounds per game during his senior season.
Coach Dave Rice added Bennett to a class that includes fellow top 100 prospect Katin Reinhardt, as well as Demetris Morant and DaQuan Cook.
