Alabama coach Anthony Grant has reeled in the top remaining prospect in the 2012 class. Less than an hour ago, Dekalb (MS) small forward Devonta Pollard committed to the Crimson Tide live at a press conference at his high school.
Pollard is the only top 25 prospect and was one of just 5 left remaining uncommitted in the 2012 class.
A 6'7 forward, Pollard grades out an A+ on site and comes in as the No. 22 overall ranked prospect, as well as the No. 4 ranked small forward in our 2012 top 100. He becomes the first and only member of Alabama's 2012 recruiting class. Pollard averaged 23.8 points, 15.7 rebounds and 5.1 blocked shots in his senior year.
Pollard chose the Crimson Tide over a final list that included Georgetown, LSU, Missouri and Texas.
